2025 Global Music Awards Honoree

Christian de Mesones, "You Only Live Twice"

“We look for emotional communication, the ability to transcend, to make the listener experience something that is new and compelling. We want to be surprised and moved by what we hear. We want to be convinced that those we honor can really move an audience. The musical joy of artists we select must be infectious. We want the artist to remind us why we care about music so much in the first place.”

-Global Music Awards

I am deeply honored to be named the 2025 Silver Medal Winner for Outstanding Achievement in Contemporary Jazz by the Global Music Awards for my album, "You Only Live Twice". This recognition is not just a testament to the countless hours spent in the studio, but also a reflection of the deep passion and love I have for music. Creating “You Only Live Twice” was a chance to push the boundaries of contemporary jazz while staying true to its roots. I am profoundly grateful to the listeners who have embraced my work and I extend my heartfelt thanks to the talented team who walked this path with me, from my producers to the incredible musicians who brought their own magic to the project. Your creativity and dedication have been invaluable.

To the Global Music Awards, thank you for this incredible honor. I am thrilled to be part of such a vibrant community of artists who continue to shape the future of music. This award fuels my desire to keep creating, keep exploring, and above all, to keep sharing the joy of music with the world.
